LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY........................

Life has been very busy the last few months, and I haven't even
had time to blog, but hopefully now, I might be able to get myself
back into some regular routine, especially once Christmas is over.

On the 16th November, I went to Port Macquarie for my
nephew's wedding.  It was a lovely day.  I was honoured to
be able to make their wedding invitations.  I did this as
their wedding gift.

I also made these lovely little Shell purses for the bridesmaids
and a little coin purse for the flowergirl.
The Shell purse pattern is a You Sew Girl pattern.  Very easy,
and looked lovely.  The girls really liked them.

Here are the happy couple taking their vows.
Sarah and Cameron were so happy on the day, and
it did rain, so they should have lots of luck for the
rest of their lives.

There was even thunder on the day, and I told Sarah
that was even better luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

WILL IT WORK???????????????????

I have had trouble getting things to load onto my page, so thought I would just give it another try today and see what happens.

I made this baby clutch ball for a special baby bundle that the sewing girls are putting together.  I have been up to lots of other stuff as well, some of it is secret, some of it isn't.

It is a lovely spring day here today, a bit of a breeze blowing, and quite warm.  What is it like where you are?

WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO...................

It has been a while since I have updated what is going on....
but I have been a little bit busy I have to say.

I have been busy making cards.......

These are some gift tags that I made for Tanya at
Sassy T (in paitright) in Colac.  They have proven
to be very popular, and I will be working on some
more for her.

Some small gift cards also made for Sassy T.  Lovely
bright colours.  These have also proven to be very popular
and I will be making more of these too.

I also made a selection of Mother's Day gift cards for Tanya.
This is just one of them, and I loved playing with the technique I
used to make these.

If you buy a gift from Tanya at Sassy T. for your Mum for
Mother's Day, you will get one of my handmade gift
cards free with your purchase.

At the moment, I am working on getting some samples to
Wedding invitations together for my nephew's wedding in
November.

I am also making some cute little coin purses, and will post
those pics when I have them all made.

I will also be back to show you some photos of some
lovely sunrises and sunsets that I have been taking.
Computer is a bit slow at the moment (technology) so
can only handle a little bit at a time.  It must be a male!!!

ANOTHER QUILT TOP DONE....................

Last night I finished this quilt top.  It will be a belated
21st Birthday gift for our daughter.  I did start it before
her birthday.

I bought the fabric a couple of years ago from
Linda White at Gumvalley Patchwork --
It is a nice feeling to have used up some more
fabric, but not so nice feeling to be adding another
quilt to the pile of quilts to be quilted.
Guess what I will be doing for a few months.

The pattern will be available once the quilt is finished.

DID I HAVE JANUARY OFF??????????

I wish.......... no just joking.  Since Christmas I have been
very busy, that is why I haven't blogged for the whole
month of January.

Once Christmas was over, I made over 100 of these
invitations for my daughter's 21st Birthday Party, which was
on Saturday night.  I have to say, we had a blast, it was such
a good party, and the 1.00 a.m. time finish meant nothing,
we were still going at 4.00 a.m.

Once I got all the invites out, it was then time to concentrate
on the food to feed the guests.  They must have enjoyed
these party pies -- not many left.

Then it was time for the cake.  Gillian wanted a
Dolly Varden Cake, just like she had when
she turned 3.  The dolly is the same dolly that was
in her cake then.  She is rather cute isn't she.

There were some gorgous shoes at the party.  These were
a pair of my favourites.  The cream ones you can just see
in the background are rather gorgeous too!

All in all, everyone had a great night, and I think yesterday
was the day that it all caught up with me.  I was a little tired.

I promise I will be back more regularly now.  I have lots of photos
to show you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR..............

Finally I have had time to get on here and wish you all a very happy 2013.  Today is a very hot day here, forecast of 41 degrees.  A good day to say indoors and do not much else but stitch.  I have been busy sewing binding on some quilts since Christmas.  None of them are for me, but I don't mind doing bindings.  One is for a lady who I quilted here quilt for, the second one is a quilt that a group of us made for a little girl, and the quilt is now finished and can be passed onto her, and the thrid one is the quilt that the Colac Quilters have made for the Pot Luck night on the 20th March.

Once they are done, I have a couple of orders to get done, then I can get on with some creating again, both with paper and fabric.

See you soon with some more news.
