DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A WATERING CAN....

I went into the Reject shop the other day to grab a watering can. They didn't have any like I wanted. But............................................

as I walked out of the shop I spotted this cute little bike and I thought well that will have to do.
Oh, wait, it is not a watering can, oh well too bad, I like it and it is coming home with me. Then of course I had to go visit the nursery next door to see what plants I could put in it, and I found these two lovely bright geraniums, and I got a watering can too!

WHAT TO DO WHEN I DON'T HAVE A HORSE STAMP

Use a photo that I had taken of our horse instead.

After ringing a couple of scrapbook/stamp suppliers and not being able to get hold of a horse stamp quickly, lucky the brain clicked in and I came up with this idea.

MORE ADDITIONS TO THE CHOOK HOUSE

You may remember this time last year I had a post with exactly the same title. Well, we have been waiting patiently for mother hen to hatch something out of the 16 eggs that she was sitting on. Mind you, mother hen was one of those additions to the chook house this time last year, as was father rooster.

Wednesday night there were 4 little chickens.

Yesterday morning there were 9 little chickens.

Then she had had enough of sitting and up she got and off she went for shelter and left the other eggs, which had no little chickens in them.

Boxing day we had a hen hatch out 3 chickens, and there are 4 chickens and 5 ducks which were hatched out early November, and growing like mushrooms.

Wonder how many hens will be amongst them all?

BREAKFAST TIME ON THE FARM

Up early this morning and off for a lovely walk, and I was glad I had my camera with me this morning as I caught breakfast time in the front paddock. How often would I be luck enough to get a photo like this one.

WEDDING AND EGAGEMENT CARDS

As I have a wedding gift to deliver and a friends son who announced his engagement on Christmas day I thought I should make some cards to give with the gifts, so this is what I came up with.

THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT IS COMPLETE

This bag was a Christmas gift - in pieces. It is one that we started as a shop sample when I worked at Delightfully Sew, and sadly the shop closed before we got to finish it. Sue and I have remained very good friends, and for Christmas she gave me this bag to finish, and then keep.

You may recognise it as the Melly & Me pattern "Raspberry Ripple". I love this bag pattern, and I chose the fabrics for this sample. You may be able to see that I added a black running stitch on the handle tabs, and then added the black flower buttons just to bring it all together.

It feels good to have something else finished.

THE SMOCKED DRESS IS COMING ALONG NICELY

LATEST CARDS

Latest two cards created today.

A sad and a happy occasion, how often do you see it.

THE END OF THE WEEK AND THE END OF THE BOX

I guess you are wondering when ever was I going to get to the end of the box. Well, I always wonder that too when it arrives and I have so much fun going through everything.

Today, I have decided seeing as it is the end of the week, and the end of the "Festive Season" really this weekend, that I would upload all the remaining goodies.

So, here goes...................

Some love papers and tags for cards or scrapbooking. I hope to do some more scrapbooking this year (toung in cheek).

Look at these lovely stamps. Can't wait to use them. Lok at that gorgeous lady, she will be so much fun.

Some yummy tags etc.

Some stickers and rub-ons - nice.

Some special brads.

Some very cute tags, that will come in very handy.

And some very special scrapbooking papers.

And lastly, but certainly not least.......................

Some fun patterns, that will certainly be put to good use. Look at those cute little cup cake pot holders, and the fruits pincushion pattern, I resisted that a couple of years ago at the Fragrant Cottage on a shopping trip, must have known that Rachel would be sending it to me one day.

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed me sharing my box of goodies with you, and we will wait in anticipation for next year's box now.

BITS AND PIECES AND NICE CARDS.

Well, this morning I turned my computer on and guess what, it would not work. So off to the I.T. man it went, and now it is back tonight all working again. So, here are another couple of lots of stuff out of the box.

A nice nail file, which I almost bought one of for Rachel, but I had already made a purchase in the shop when I saw it as I was heading out the door, so didn't go back and get one, a book mark, some nice tissues which are always handy to have in the bag and a bag in a bag, another handy item to always have in the bag.

And these two lovely boxes. The larger one, Rachek covered and did herself. Lovely isn't it. And guess what is in the boxes.

Well, the larger box had these lovely cards in that Rachel makes. They are so yummy.

And the smaller box had these truely gorgeous gift tags in it.

By the way, there are still another couple of things to come, so we are almost there.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM STITCHING....

I have got back into the stitching since the new year. Sometimes it takes a while, but there is a deadline with this one, so that always helps.

I am smocking this little dress for an elderly friend in Geelong to give to here great-grand-daughter for her birthday.

THE STITCHING GOODIES

Look at all of these lovely stitching goodies that Rachel sent me. Some lovely threads, a stitching frame which I can't wait to try out, and some lovely zippers.

And, these lovely wooden buttons.

Love this zipper, I have just the project in mind for this. I bought the fabric a little while ago and I think it is just the zipper to do what I want to do. Keep tuned.

And I have come up with a plan for this zipper too. Isn't it lovely. Rachel got both of them at the Stitches and craft show at Darling Harbour.

A FEW MORE GOODIES

Yes there are still more goodies from the box, and still a few more, so you can see how lucky I am.
Every year Rachel sends me a love new mug. I must admit I have not sent a mug to Rachel the last couple of years, but I will see what I can do this year Rachel.

Some cute Christmas decorations for the tree. Just incase you are counting Rachel, I accidently snipped one of the beaded hangers when I was snipping open the little bags that they were in, and beads went everywhere, so I am one less now, might just have to put some gold thread on that ornament.

And these lovely goodies came from Rachel's parents (yes, they are even in on the act now). Snowy made the string and scissor holder and Nellie made the lovely hand towel and really I don't think one can have too many of these. By the way these are the scissors responsible for snipping the beaded string on the christmas decoration.

THE NICE SMELLY THINGS

Here are the nice smelly things that I got in the box from Rachel this year. You have already seen the lovely melts burner in a previous post, the box at the back has the lovely melts in it for this burner. They are very cute and shaped like cookies.

Then there is the voitive holder and the two candles to put in it. Can't wait to get one of them burning, but it wont be today -- way too hot.

Oh, and the lovely tea lights to pop under the cookie melts. These will be great as they have a burning time of 9 hours.
