A BUSY WEEK...............

There have been hot cross buns to send up to Mildura to our Son. There was a bus going up from Colac, so I was lucky to be able to send them that way. Also so easter bunny biscuits.

Invitations for a friends 60th Birthday.................

And a couple of garters for my niece who is being bridesmaid at a wedding in Sydney the weekend after Easter. She asked me to make the garters, one for the bride to wear and the
other for the her to throw.

Wonder what next week brings.

A LITTLE SPOILT.......................

Look at all of these lovely flowers. Yesterday was our 25th Wedding Anniversary, and we were very spoilt with flowers. Our kids also booked us into Fusion (a lovely restaurant in Colac) for dinner last night, and when we went to pay they told us that there was no bill for the night that it had already been fixed up. Thanks to our kids, the food was delicious and we had a lovely evening. The flowers in the box were also sitting on our table when we got in there, and they are from the kids as well.

The lovely little bunch in the front with the pink ribbon, I received from the Year 11 & 12 Textile class at Trinity College on Tuesday for going in a giving them a talk on design, but I thought I would just pop them into the photo, bacause the house is looking very bright with all of these beautiful flowers.

BACK TO SCHOOL..............

Yesterday I loaded up the boot of my car and headed off into Trinity College to talk to the Year 11 & 12 Textile class.

The teacher has invited me into talk to the class for the past three years on my journey of design, what influences me to make a particular quilt, bag or cushion. How I go about getting my designs out to the public and numerous other things.

Oh, by the way, is there something in the pic that you haven't seen before?

The trees................

On the grass..................

Amongst the trees..............

But I do have to say, that this is nothing to the Web the Spiders spun at Wagga Wagga during the floods. If you have not seen any photos, then you need to google, "Spiders spin blanket over Wagga Wagga" and have a look. Truely amazing and nature at it's best.

GRANDMA VERA'S SATCHEL......

I have had this fabric sitting in the cupboard for a month or so now, with a bag in mind.

Last night, whilst sitting up to pick my youngest daughter up from an 18th birthday party, I made a start. It is named after my Dad's Mum.

I am having a stall at the Colac Quilter's Exhibition on the 23rd, 24th & 25th March, and this is when I will be releasing the pattern for this bag. Photos will be uploaded at this time, so stay tuned.

THINKING OF ALL FLOOD VICTIMS....

Today I have in my thoughts all of the people who are experiencing flooding. My home town of Wagga Wagga is today under threat. I have had two nieces evacuated overnight and my Dad and sister are safe as they life in a higher area. Years ago, when Dad still farmed at Old Junee (near Junee) of course, I remember going home from work in Wagga Wagga and not being able to get back the next day. I wont mention how long ago that was, but if you have been listening to the news they have mentioned that flood year a couple of times. There were 6 Junee people working at the same place of employment, so they were down a few that time for a couple of days. And I might add, it didn't only happen once.

Stay safe everyone, and lets just hope that the levi-bank holds up.
