I LOVE WEDDINGS.......................

Especially when I have made the wedding dress...................

Our beautiful niece Ria was married in Dickinson's Reserve
in Kew at the beginning of April.

Ria contacted me at the end of January to ask me if I could
make her wedding dress.  As Ria lives in Melbourne and I
live 2 hours south of Melbourne, we decided to meed in
Geelong and have a chat and a look for a pattern.
Then it was off to the ladies bathroom in
Market Place to do the measurements.

We both went back to our own homes, Ria then going shopping for
fabric and me going to buy some poly cotton to make up a
dummy dress.  Four weeks later we met in Geelong again
for the fitting.
And guess where that was.................back in the Ladies Bathroom in
Market Place.  It has the best mirror ever for a dress fitting.

Just a small adjustment to be made, and home I came with the beautiful
Italian Lace that Ria had chosen and a month later, Ria was coming down
this way for another family wedding and she called for me to get the hem
organised.  The next day she came and picked up the dress and took it home.

Two weeks later it was a pleasure to see her walk down the garden
path on her Dad's arm to be given way to marry her
 handsome now husband -- Crispin.

This photo is of there own little family, Ria, Crispin and there oh so cute
Olive Elizabeth.

Not much of a sunset again last night,
but apparently it is only 3 degrees outside this morning,
I think that is the coldest morning this year.

But it is shaping up to be a lovely sunny day,
first one for a while.

This one was given to Alyssa Grace,

This blanket was given to Eamon Jack,

Not much of a sunset last night, but this is how our day started today....
